The Gunnadoo Band first started in 1985 in the small town of Airlie Beach in North Queensland, playing every Thursay night at the Whitsunday Village Resort.  In 1989 the Gunna's won the "Charters Towers Country Music Festival" with the aid of a very clever fiddle player by the name of "Clare O'Meara".  In 1991 the band went back into the studio to record their second Album called "Divided Attention".

As a featured band on "Hamilton Island", for about eight years, they had the opportunity to be invited to perform all over Australia and overseas.   They were the only band to ever be invited back four times in a row to perform at the "Sydney Royal Easter Show".  The band went on to win a "Whitsunday Tourism Award".   The band played regularly for 4 years on "South Molle Island" every Wednesday night.

The Australiana show is a caberet style show which is ideal for any size  conference or holiday resort.  It is a full two hour show, which gets the audience involved from the very start.
Using a blend of traditional Australiana music and the contemporary styles of Bullamakanka,  Redgum,  Slim Dusty and Rolf Harris,  the band delights audiences with its up tempo beat and some of the most hilarious 'onstage' competitions you will ever see.
